Hii Friends, Fever is a very common symptom as we have discussed earlier, so if fever does not subsides even after taking medications (more than 3 days) Consult the Doctor.
Here I am gonna tell some different patterns of fever which may help you in observing and representing your History to The Doctors. (What is History click here to read)
Fever: It is an elevation of body temperature above the normal circadian variation as a result of the change in the thermoregulatory center, located in the hypothalamus.
Maximum normal oral temperature
At 6:00 am 37.0 degree C (98.6 degree F)
At 6:00 pm 37.6 degree C (99.6 degree F)
Fever with decreased heart rate
1: Typhoid
2: Meningitis
3: Viral Fever (influenza)
4: Brucellosis
Fever with exanthems Rashes
1: Rash appearing first day - Chicken Pox
2: Rash appearing Fourth day - Measles
3: Rash appearing seventh day - Typhoid
Patterns of fever in common disease
Bacterial infection: Normal fever mostly subsided by medications like Symptomatic (Paracetamol) and antibiotics
Typhoid: Stepladder type of fever, fever does not subsides, even it increases day by day.
Maleria: In case of maleria, fever comes alternate day or in the following pattern
First day then third day
Or
First day then Fourth day.
The fever is also associated with Chills and rigor (rigor means vibration of body, you can understand like when you feel cold you vibrates, that is Rigor)
So this was the knowledge I want to share with you because it is important to you to have view and observe the different patterns of fever which may help you while you consult The Doctor it is important to give Perfect History.
Just chill Mostly fever is self limited it could be either Bacterial or Viral, just take Paracetamol, you will be totally cured within 2-3 days.
If fever remains more than 3 days even after medication then Consult Doctor.
